Shi Decheng (common name: Chen Qingzhen) was born in 1965 in Qi County, Kaifeng, Henan Province. He has been practicing martial arts with his family since he was a child. In 1980, he went to Dengfeng Sports School to learn Shaolin martial arts from the famous Shaolin boxing teacher Jiao Hongbo. Later, he was introduced by his teacher Jiao Hongbo to become a disciple of the Shaolin Temple monk Shi Suyun, and was given the Dharma name: Shi Decheng. He is a disciple of the 31st generation of Shaolin Temple. In 1988, the Henan Provincial Tourism Bureau established the "Songshan Shaolin Temple Martial Arts Hall" in Dengfeng Shaolin Temple. Master Shi Decheng became the first batch of outstanding martial arts professional team members and coaches of the Shaolin Temple Martial Arts Hall.
